Golf Courses we really recommend
We have played hundreds of golf courses, mainly in Sweden but quite a few in Spain, Portugal, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, USA and other countries and here are some of our favorites in the Andalusian region.
If you don´t know where or how to book your rounds of golf we recommend to use Leading Courses.
If you want to rent clubs we have used Sunshine Golf in Mijas many times and they are affordable and easy to deal with.
Top 3 ever, Finca Cortesin
One of the best courses we have ever played is just 55 minutes from the apartment. Finca Cortesin has 18 really good and challenging golf holes. It hosted the 2023 Solheim Cup and has a really beautiful surroundings, extremely good greens and very helpful personell. If you get the chance to play this course go do it. It is rated 2nd out of 104 courses in this region on Leading Courses just behind the legendary Valderrama Golf Club.

Hilly and fun to play, Calanova Golf
Just 24 minutes of away is the hilly(Buggy is a must) and very fun to play Calanova Golf. You will find your ball on most holes, great greens and a lot of ups and downs makes this a really fun course to play.
Calanova also have Europe´s largest golf shop

Easy and fun, Santana Golf
Santan Golf is just 25 minutes away and it is a fun and easy course to play. Easy in the sense that you will find your ball on every hole. It windles back and forward in a small valley before some closing holes with water around and you always have the mountains in the background. Very affordable and a course we recommend to play.

36 great holes, Mijas Golf
Just 20 minutes from the apartment is Mijas Golf with 36 great golf holes and this place has really grown over the last decade. It is a popular destination and you will know why when you meet the friendly staff and get to play either one of these fun courses.
The picture is the 9th hole on Lagos course, a nice par 4 back to the club house.

Close and great, Golf Torrequebrada
Just 11 minutes from the apartment is the great Golf Torrequebrada. Alot of trees, palm trees, some water and great condition makes this course a fun experience. Its affordable and the staff is very friendly.
The picture above is the closing 18th hole a short par4 with challenging bunkers around the green trying to destroy your round :)

Short on time, Benalmadena Golf
If you don´t have all day then Benalmadena Golf coud be a good choice. They have 9 holes par 27, a great range and a putting green to sharpen your wedge game or just get rid of the rust after a long flight.
